In Wittenberg there are a multitude of sights that are worth visiting. Of particular tourist interest are of course the Luther memorials, some of which are even UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You can immerse yourself in the history of the city at original locations from the Reformation. Visit the castle church, where Luther posted his 95 theses, or the town church of St. Mary, where he preached for 30 years. In the Lutherhaus you will find the largest museum of the history of the Reformation in the world, and in the Melanchthonhaus you will be brought closer to the life of the "teacher of Germany". You will also find evidence of the Reformation in the Cranach courtyards, for example in the historical printing works, where the Cranachs reproduced the Reformation ideas for the public. Of the historic buildings of the Wittenberg University "Alma Mater Leucorea", where Martin Luther also taught, only the Augusteum remains today.
